The next World Youth Day will take place in Madrid, Spain in August of 2011. The Friars of the Dominican Order of Ireland intend to organise a pilgrimage to Spain for young Irish people from the 12th to the 22nd of August next summer. In addition to the week spent in Madrid, the pilgrimage will include a few initial days of sightseeing in Spain to places of cultural and religious significance e.g. St. Dominic’s birthplace and Salamanca.
